Start a Project in Prism
Create a Project, add material, use it in Prism, and optionally continue with a connected AI app.
A Project is the durable home for related material. You do not need a profession, ticker, connected AI app, or model key to begin.
Workflow
Primary steps
- 1Create a Project from scratch or choose a starting template, then edit its suggested folders if you want them.
- 2Add a file, link, or note and wait for the source status to say what Prism can actually use.
- 3Ask Prism about ready material, save useful work, then optionally connect an AI app with only the Projects and permissions it needs.
Start with real material
Choose Start from scratch or a template for studying, research, a personal project, or investing. Templates only suggest a purpose and ordinary folders; they do not create a separate Project type or silently store instructions as memory.
Add a file, link, or note. A saved upload is not automatically usable text: inspect its status before asking Prism to answer from it.
Use it in Prism
Ask a short question about ready material. Source-grounded answers and citations depend on the material that is available and your current account capabilities; Prism should state a material gap instead of presenting a placeholder answer.
Save an answer, note, document, or artifact only when it is useful. Saving work and remembering a durable instruction are separate actions.
Continue with an AI app when useful
AI connections are optional. In the connection flow, explicitly choose an app, the Projects it can access, and its permissions. Prism verifies a new setup only after that selected app performs a current, authorized retrieval; OAuth authorization alone is not proof that retrieval works.
If the AI host requires setup on desktop, Prism will show a continuation path. Host capabilities and plan availability can change, so follow the current signed-in guide and its troubleshooting instructions rather than assuming every host supports every action.
